Welcome to a new week :)

1. Has spring "sprung" by you yet?

2. What are you wearing today?

3. Do you make a special menu for Easter (if you celebrate it)?

OMG...here we go again. Pass the popcorn.

Shaking my head at the things grown women get their panties in a wad about.

Except of course your many posts say that you would serve food with the deadly allergens in them regardless of your guests allergies.

It is something that is not hidden in her family, it is talked about and someone forgot.  Honestly I could handle someone forgeting versus your comments of serving the food and knowing.

Or its much ado about nothing...  My sister makes a wonderful asparagas dish with sliced almonds, Is there a reason why she shouldn't serve a dish you can't eat to others who can?  Don't eat it if you can't!

Deadly allergies are much ado about nothing?  Yes, there is a reason....deadly allergies.  Why is that hard to understand and respect?

"My sister makes a wonderful asparagas dish with sliced almonds, Is there a reason why she shouldn't serve a dish you can't eat to others who can?" ---------- Yes, in the case of a potentially fatal allergy (an allergy that can kill) there is a very good reason not to serve it at all. The reason is cross-contamination.

Shoot, I'm not RG's family and I knew of her dd's allergies. Granted, when we last ate together it was sushi - and tree nuts and milk aren't commonly found in sushi, but still!

How many times does the issue of cross contamination have be talked about before you understand it? Or acknowledge it?
