Bands I've seen live in the last few years: Nine Inch Nails (twice), Jimmy Eat World, Bauhaus, Peaches, TV on the Radio, Cloud Atlas, Foxy Shazam, Awolnation, 21 Pilots, MGMT, Silversun Pickups (twice), the Henry Clay People, Smashing Pumpkins, Against Me! (twice), and the Wombats (twice).

There are a few people I'd like to see live. IAMDYNAMITE for one. Any current lineup of James Maynard Keenan for another. My absolute favorite though is Nine Inch Nails. I'm going to see them in October :)

No one in the family is a musician, though dh has composed a few awesome pieces with digital programs. I played the clarinet in the symphonic, marching, and jazz bands during school. Only one of my kids has opted into band in school, but the other writes/composes her own raps.

In school...did you play an instrument?  ~ yes, in a marching band
If so, what? ~ the glockenspiel!  (because I had some piano lessons)
Do any of your kids play an instrument? ~ Yes, all do.
Did they follow your lead? ~ No, they aren't given a choice. ;)  Private lessons and orchestra at a local university's conservatory, and their schools have great music programs too.

Tell us about it!  :) ~ no one living.  My husband's grandfather played the bass for a living.  That side of the family was poo-oor!
