We both have a 4 day weekend for Thanksgiving.

His office closes  from Christmas Day until Jan 2. Usually shut down early Christmas Eve.

My last workday of the year will be Dec 20th.  It was already going to work out that way because of how much paid time off I have left  but I found out yesterday that we are going to be closed all of Christmas week.

We are pretty lucky. There are no classes the entire week of Thanksgiving, then I have to have my fall semester grades in on Decrmber 16th and don't teach again until January 22nd. There is much to do in between that time; for instance graduate admissions season begins in earnest with the deadline of January 10th, and I have to have the admissions report finalized within a month after that, including up to seven fellowship nomination packages.

My husband isn't taking a Thanksigivng break but he'll take some time off around the holidays, We may do NYC. The kids have a pretty long Winter break actualy, they are off from the 20th of Dec to January 6, Woot! I think a part of that is b/c of where both holidays fall, Kind of silly to return to school Thursday or Friday then break again for the weekend, Good call by our district,  Lol.

"How much time do you/SO get off for the holidays?" ------- Years ago I made clear to dh that I will not work between Christmas and New Year. He finds that very odd, but has learned to accept it.

We get Thanksgiving and the day after as holidays. We get 12/23-1/1 off for Christmas - 6 holidays and 2 mandatory leave days. Effectually it is 12 days in a row off! WOOT!

The Kids' last day of class is 12/20 and they don't return to school until 1/7. So they have 17 days of no school.

I *think* that I am taking the Wednesday before Tgiving, the kids have a half day.

My office is closed for the entire week of Christmas and New Year's.  I have a small project so I will probably go in on Thursday both weeks.  Since the office is closed, I should get some quiet, uninterupted time to be productive!

We technically get off Christmas Day and New Years Day. Every year they add 1-3 extra days off, depending on how the holiday falls. Not sure what we will get off this year but I am going to push to get as many days off as my kids are off for 2 weeks and I would love to have all those days off too. Right now I am only taking the 24th, 25th, 26th, 30th and 31st.

Dh gets the 2 same days. Depending on the weather though, he could get more days off.

For Thanksgiving we get a 4 day weekend every year. The kids get a 5 day weekend this year.

Hubby only gets Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving - Thursday and Friday are Holidays for both dh/myself, so we will have a four day weekend.

Christmas/New Years - Dh has the last two weeks, I have three days plus will take vacation.
