What type of parents are they? Would they be upset? Would they not care if the kid was smoking?

No, like i said they have a police ordered document to keep their distance from us both parents seem to have anger issues and like to fight physically, this has been a problem in the recent for others as well...i have now found out that dh has lost his job and they are having a very difficult time... the dh has gotten in my face literally and has put his hands around my neck. His wife works at my kids school and i have had to make formal reports in her record b/c she would not respect my requests concerning her behavior and actions agianst school policy and my kids... anyway...no we dont speak to them at all and i

With all of these problems in the past, I would not do anything. I know it sounds horrible and cold but I would not get involved at all.

You've had to get a no contact order for them, so contacting them in any way would violate it on your part.

If the smoking becomes a repeated thing and they are, as you said, caring and responsible parents, then they will soon find out from someone else or they will catch him doing it. I would keep the no contact order intact. I know it's hard because everyone involved cares, but your neighbors are reaping what they've sown by forcing people to protect themselves against them.
