DH is most deffinently coming home in April, instead of being gone for 6 months, like we originally thought.

what about the gulf coast of Florida? Thats pretty close to you, isnt it? I spent some time there several years ago and it was so beautiful and peaceful. The Sanibel islands were so gorgeous. Dont know what kind of scuba or snorkeling is there though (not my thing either, lol!).

Or Hawaii? We go every couple years to the town of Kihei on Maui. The weather is ALWAYS nice on Maui, and there is a TON of stuff to do if he wants to snorkle, etc.

Oh and I know of a couple all inclusive resorts in Puerto Vallerta and Cabo, if you are thinking Mexico. I can get the names of them if you want.

check out vacationstogo.com for some ideas-click on *all inclusives* on the left, then click on mexico. I couldnt find the one we almost stayed at in Puerto Vallerta (hurricane hit 2 days before we were to leave!), but the Royal Solaris in Cabo is VERY nice-I havent been but several of my friends loved it!

Closer to home, the Florida Keys, specifically Key Largo, which has N. America's only coral reef. The diving is nice, there is snorkeling, too, and I know that there are companies that will take you sea-kayaking to some of the smaller keys. You might have a bit of difficulty finding an all-inclusive there, though.

Every diver I've ever known says that the best diving outside of the S. Pacific is in Belize, and you would be able to find all-inclusives there.

I think there is a Club Med somewhere in Florida, aren't they all inclusive and romantic?

Next year is my ten year anniversary too!

What timing!!! i have been surfing(no pun intended) the web today. i think dh and i are going to bermuda for our 25th wedding anniversary. we went for our honeymoon when we were young and dumb, and i was nervous about moving so far from my family so i didnt really enjoy it. now at the ripe old age of soon to be 47, we know what is happening and how to have a good time. no nerves anymore either. dd said she would come stay with ds2, so it would work out well. i would offer her a couple hundred dollars in leiu of missing work. sounds cool, huh. i hope it all works out for us. we need this one.

The Club Med in FL is called Sandpiper. It is not on the ocean but is supposed to be VERY nice. It is all inclusive. We are going for Memorial Day Weekend. There was a nice ad in our local newspaper and kids stay free at Sanpiper for certain dates between 2/13 and 4/11. I don't know if you are thinking of going away with the kids or not. I have heard Club Med is great if you want to combine time with your spouse with time with your kids on vacation. They are supposed to have a great kids program. We won't be there until after you want to go so I have to go by what I hear. If you want more details from the ad email me. There may be a similar one in your paper. The ad was from a national travel agency.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but, I'm just scratching my head that a family with neither spouse working and difficulty paying bills can afford an all-inclusive tropical vacation? That's just the thing that stands out in my mind when I read this post.

Anyway, try applevacations.com and click on their sizzling specials for the best deals on all-inclusive vacations. Another great website is travelzoo.com, then click on caribbean vacations. You'll find your best deals there.

I'm not having any trouble at all paying our bills, even though neither of us work.

Grand Cayman is gorgeous but also quite expensive. As far as the Bahamas, I havent been . I have heard alot of good things about The Atlantis resort.
