What would you find it odd to NOT know about your neighbors/neighborhood? For example, I would find it odd to not know the name of your next door neighbor, and I would find it odd to not know what school district your neighborhood is zoned to.

Yeah, well, these things take time, not to mention that I'm not sure a fence will help anyway.

I thought you have said before in older posts that you were going to be putting up a fence because of these neighbors.

I wouldn't think to hire someone it would take more than a day or to do it yourself maybe a weekend?

Yeah, so?

Dh doesn't want to hire someone...although at this point we are looking into it.

We have a huge yard, and expect that it will take more than a weekend.

So I would have thought it was a priority then and not wait very long to do so.

We have a huge yard, and expect that it will take more than a weekend. With dh's work schedule, there would be no time to work on it during the week.

I have personally watched both scenarios and would hire someone every time.

Well, since you know nothing about my life, you can't even begin to understand why the fence was not at the top of the priority list.

Sorry. Just figured if this was such a problem (that you also brought it to a messageboard) you would want to get it done ASAP.

Well, good for you. Dh enjoys this type of thing, and would prefer to do it himself. It may end up being something that he just can't do. We'll see.

That's great. As long as it solves the problem :)

Understood. If the neighbor is going to be a PITA with or without the fence, then it doesn't have to be done ASAP.

I think you may be right...the fence may eliminate some issues but it is not a quarantee it will stop the problems if these neighbors are anything like mine and they sure sound like it.

My dh would not hire somone to do a fence...shoot to get him to hire anyone to do practically anything it is like pulling teeth...he is one of those type of guys, has to do everything himself,
