What would you find it odd to NOT know about your neighbors/neighborhood? For example, I would find it odd to not know the name of your next door neighbor, and I would find it odd to not know what school district your neighborhood is zoned to.

Well, it wouldn't but they've been at Disney and cruising and simply haven't gotten around to it. Sheesh. Not everything works on imaginary time; some of us actually have to deal with real life.

Yes and that is why I mentioned about hiring someone if it is that much of a priority.

Hmmmm... I've lived places where I knew next to nothing about the neighbors. Of course, they were quite a ways away. I can imagine that if I didn't have kids, I would have no idea what school district my "neighborhood" was zoned to. I certainly didn't know that about my neighborhoods before I had kids. I can't really think of anything.

Exactly, in order to dig, we have to call Miss Utility first and that takes some time. Then finding someone to do it and getting on their schedule, means that it would probably take 3-4 weeks at a MINIMUM assuming everything went like clockwork.

Oh no!!-lol!! My old neighbor who was handy did his own (just one area of the fence, not all around) and it took awhile and it just did not look fun watching-lol!! My other neighbors all around had companies do theirs and they were done in one day and they made it look effortless. I would love to have a new fence but it would cost a couple thousand dollars. Braces are next so no new fence yet-lol!!
