Yes, it is November. Enough of the October "Pink". That doesn't mean we forget and still do things for breast cancer, but we need to go on. The "Pink" obviously works as if you saw GMA this morning, Amy was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. This was her first ever mammogram and she did it in October to go along with the "Pink" campaign.

1. Do you have Thanksgiving plans yet?

2. What is your favorite side dish for Thanksgiving?

3. What is your favorite dessert for Thanksgiving (trying to get ideas as we were invited to a friends home and was asked to bring dessert)?

I didn't doubt you at all.  I believed everything you stated happened on GMA.  What I questioned was whether they were spinning it to appear more related to Pinktober than it was.

"Please don't tell me that Amy got her mammo just because it was October, or that Pinktober is what inspired her to get one. She's 40. She should have been talking about mammograms with her gyn for a very long time (even if she didn't need a baseline until 40.)"

Well I watch GMA everyday and saw when this happened so I know that it was real. It sure seemed like you doubted me and the story and thought I was just stupid enough to believe they just said she did this for Pink in October.

It wasn't about you. At all.

"I really hope that they were exaggerating things for tv purposes"

It wasn't about you. At all.

Again, I said from the beginning they weren't but then you added this. Why?

I hadn't realized it was Amy ROBACH until I saw her on one of the entertainment shows tonight.  Wow, Keep these public figures stepping forward and encouraging others.

Yeah. She used to use her last name Shue on the show. Not sure when she changed it. It is nice to see actual REAL stories and REAL people. Not everyone fakes it and does things on TV just for ratings and for "monthly" things.

I remember watching the news and hearing that mammograms be pushed to 50 unless there's a family history of it.  I found this link from huffpost which is ridiculously liberal, tv news finds this stuff and runs with it too...
