November Fluff

Yes, it is November. Enough of the October "Pink". That doesn't mean we forget and still do things for breast cancer, but we need to go on. The "Pink" obviously works as if you saw GMA this morning, Amy was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. This was her first ever mammogram and she did it in October to go along with the "Pink" campaign.

1. Do you have Thanksgiving plans yet?

2. What is your favorite side dish for Thanksgiving?

3. What is your favorite dessert for Thanksgiving (trying to get ideas as we were invited to a friends home and was asked to bring dessert)?

How does that make it about you? What there indicates I don't believe YOU?  I believe that you accurately reported what they said on the show.  What I was doubting is whether or not they portrayed the real situation.  I absolutely believe her diagnosis - and that it was caught after her first mammogram, that was done on the show.  What I was skeptical of is whether or not she'd really done it just because of Pinktober; I was skeptical that she'd never discussed mammograms with her doctor.

Why wouldn't you believe it or her? Do you think everyone on TV lies and only does cancer things for "Pinktober"? I am not sure why so many on this board are so caught up in this. I don't think people forget about cancer the rest of the year. I think something is better than nothing. And again, it is November (Movember) so I don't want to talk about it anymore Laughing

I don't know whether to believe it fully or not. Which is why I was asking the questions. That's also why I went and found the article which explained much further.

Well then be happy to know someone like myself who saw it from the beginning and knew it was true Laughing

Jams - the huffpo story is not ridiculously liberal. It is a finding  of the US Preventative Service Task Force. You may disagree with their findings, but it is is not a liberal or conservative issue.

Because of course, morning news shows don't ever stage any of their segments.  :)

Annnnnnnd....I never said that. If you watched GMA (or TV for that matter) you would have seen that this was not staged as a few posters believe.
