November Fluff

Yes, it is November. Enough of the October "Pink". That doesn't mean we forget and still do things for breast cancer, but we need to go on. The "Pink" obviously works as if you saw GMA this morning, Amy was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. This was her first ever mammogram and she did it in October to go along with the "Pink" campaign.

1. Do you have Thanksgiving plans yet?

2. What is your favorite side dish for Thanksgiving?

3. What is your favorite dessert for Thanksgiving (trying to get ideas as we were invited to a friends home and was asked to bring dessert)?

Another good point.  My friend and I were just talking about this, she said she's more faithful to her dentist every 6 months than she is her annual pelvic exams.  I shamefully agree but I do try to stay on top of my annuals, I schedule them around my birthday.

Yep, I have a friend who has not gone back to her OB/GYN since she gave birth to her last child 10 + years ago AND her mother JUST had a mass removed from her breast. It is not something that she doesn't see first hand either.

Yes. Vitamins are supplements.  I didn't say anything contrary to that.  But not all supplements are vitamins. GB is not a vitamin.

How can we use vitamins to improve memory? Ginkgo Biloba gets much of its medicinal effects from two main components: flavonoids and terpenoids.

Ginkgo IS a supplement, yes, but many conside it a "vitamin". You are not shopping at the supplement store, you are shopping at the vitamin store. And yes, I know what I am speaking of...lolololol.

So what...  bord and lois sometimes post in the same thread.  Why does it matter to you who posts here and how?  Relax, it's really not that big of a deal, Lol.

It is a supplement. But a vitamin is much more specific than just a supplement.  GB is not a vitamin.

You do understand that a vitamin IS also a supplement. Something that you are supplementing to your diet. GB is an herbal supplement. It is a food supplement.

I would agree that most people know what gingko biloba is .. and it's not a vitamin.

It is an herbal supplement. A vitamin is something that is supplementing your diet.

Did I indicate I thought it wasn't possible?  I know it's possible to have multiple usernames and use them simultaneously.  I haven't done so.  I have no idea why someone would.
