November Fluff

Yes, it is November. Enough of the October "Pink". That doesn't mean we forget and still do things for breast cancer, but we need to go on. The "Pink" obviously works as if you saw GMA this morning, Amy was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. This was her first ever mammogram and she did it in October to go along with the "Pink" campaign.

1. Do you have Thanksgiving plans yet?

2. What is your favorite side dish for Thanksgiving?

3. What is your favorite dessert for Thanksgiving (trying to get ideas as we were invited to a friends home and was asked to bring dessert)?

"And I've never been unhealthy or had any "issues" that would indicate a deficiency. So I don't take them." -------- I used to be the same. Now I take calcium and vitamin D on doctor's orders, in the hope of stemming bone loss from the meds I am on.

I don't think I've every worn anything Nike. But I remember when my older kid went off to school and saw all the swooshes and came home and asked if I would get him some clothes with "check marks" on them.

I used to love Nike! They just aren't a good fit for me anymore though. :)

I swear my nails were the strongest when I was on prenatal vitamins but I haven't taken vitamins since. I agree they have their benefits but I just haven't come around to taking them since, I have a problem with taking pills in general though, even motrin I have trouble taking until I really really need it, Lol.

I have always had strong nails so I don't need it for that but I would love to see if my hair could become stronger (which it has since I stopped highlighting it) and my skin better.

I think they are good in moderation and with a doctor's planning because one can have too much as well as too little.

I have never really taken vitamins or other dietary supplements.  I've bought a bottle or two and taken them consistently for a couple of weeks, but couldn't tell any difference.  And I've never been unhealthy or had any "issues" that would indicate a deficiency.  So I don't take them.

I take that back ... I took fenugreek extensively when I was breastfeeding The Boy.

True, in a way, as if you are eating junk, you will then need to use a supplement for what you are not getting in the proper foods that already as the vitamins needed.

I usually do not take ANY vitamin supplement. I only recently started taking something for hair, skin and nails (it was given to me). Too soon to see if it is working but I have only heard good things about it.
