Yes, it is November. Enough of the October "Pink". That doesn't mean we forget and still do things for breast cancer, but we need to go on. The "Pink" obviously works as if you saw GMA this morning, Amy was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. This was her first ever mammogram and she did it in October to go along with the "Pink" campaign.

1. Do you have Thanksgiving plans yet?

2. What is your favorite side dish for Thanksgiving?

3. What is your favorite dessert for Thanksgiving (trying to get ideas as we were invited to a friends home and was asked to bring dessert)?

Yes. Vitamins are supplements.  I didn't say anything contrary to that.  But not all supplements are vitamins. GB is not a vitamin.

How can we use vitamins to improve memory? Ginkgo Biloba gets much of its medicinal effects from two main components: flavonoids and terpenoids.

Ginkgo IS a supplement, yes, but many conside it a "vitamin". You are not shopping at the supplement store, you are shopping at the vitamin store. And yes, I know what I am speaking of...lolololol.

Another good point.  My friend and I were just talking about this, she said she's more faithful to her dentist every 6 months than she is her annual pelvic exams.  I shamefully agree but I do try to stay on top of my annuals, I schedule them around my birthday.

Yep, I have a friend who has not gone back to her OB/GYN since she gave birth to her last child 10 + years ago AND her mother JUST had a mass removed from her breast. It is not something that she doesn't see first hand either.

It doesn't matter how many people consider GB a vitamin .. it isn't a vitamin.

Vitamin stores sell more than vitamins.  Just because it's called a vitamin store or a vitamin company doens't mean everything it sells is a vitamin.  Shoe stores sell socks and purses and all sorts of things that aren't shoes.

Not all vitamins come in the form of supplements, either. I get my vitamins from food.

Yes, you are supplementing your diet with vitamins (in the food). Not everyone eats foods healthy enough to have enough vitamins that they should. That is one of the reasons people take certain vitamins and supplements.

Your posts didn't indicate that you knew. Since, after all, you said GB was a vitamin because it was sold at a vitamin store.

<<Your comment, that I quoted: No, you wouldn't as she is now a new name, iamvelma.

What are you basing that she has a new name and it is lamvelma on?    I know it's not reading the posts, so what is it?

Ummm...yes, it is from the posts. lol.>>

Given that it took three posts, not to mention other times in this thread alone, I'm not sure what you are basing that on either.
