I didn't watch cartoons as a child. We were allowed two hours of tv per week and I used my 2 hours for other shows, like Batman with Adam West.

Oh, I forgot popeye--that was a good one. I remember the theme songs better than the shows.

Until I was 7 or so, we did not have a TV. Then when we got one, there was almost nothing to watch anyway (Europe in the 70s, one state channel that broadcast a few hours a day). By the time my youngest brother was in school, there was an occasional Tom&Jerry show, I think once a week for half an hour. Till this day I have thing for Tom&Jerry, although my all-time favorite is the Road-runner. But I got to know him in the US, as an adult.
