I hesitate to ask considering how much trouble I got into last time....Why is Iowa becoming a distance dream? Has all this drama been for nothing?

Mine's in the living room for now. I like it to be where I can see the kids, etc.

However, in the new house there won't be room fo rit in hte living room so it will go in my bedroom.

Ours is in our office/spare room/guest room. Its big enough for the computer, our extra tv, and a small fold out couch. Eventually I am going to get rid of this computer desk though! I hate it, I only bought it because it was cheap and I want a nicer, bigger one. I am going to get a nice L shaped desk that will give me more room!!!

What about a den/office? Or do you just not want it in there because you don't want the kids in the office/den when they need to use it? If that's the case, why not just the game room. I think Texans just call the family a game room, right? I remember looking at homes in Dallas though when I thought we had to move and they had dens, family rooms, and game rooms so maybe you will be able to still have it in the family room???

Our main 'puter is in our office. Ds#1 has his own computer for games/hooked on phonics cds in his room, no internet though, not that he is old enough to know what internet is. It's our old slow 'puter, nothing fancy, but it keeps him out of the office. And finally, dh and I both have laptops and a wireless network so that dh can do stuff in bed, or I can do stuff in the backyard while the kids play.

We added a sunroom off of our living room (it's a real room, not a screened in porch -- drywall, brick, the whole works). We have the computer in there. It works out perfectly for us...it's tucked away in a little nook so it's not obvious to someone walking in the front door, but it allows you to stay right there with the rest of the family. I wouldn't want any other arrangement when I'm home during the day...I'd have to wag a toddler with me back and forth from the living room to whatever room the computer is in.

Mine is in the living room. DH's and DD3's are in the family room. DD1 and DD2 have notebooks, they usually use them in their bedrooms but can use them throughout the house.

My computer is in my one corner of my office right off the kitchen....the kids computer is the opposite corner (so I can keep and eye and help them)...it also houses many of my books, scrapbook and craft supplies.
