Situation 1: Very good friend, your children are very good friends. You find out the hard way she's a TERRIFYING driver, often not having EITHER hand on the steering wheel, reading while driving despite you offering to read the directions, tailgating, actually turning around to talk to the kids in the back, etc. etc. Do you say you're uncomfortable, or are you too busy praying for your and your child's survival, LOL?!

Situation 2: Someone you don't know but run into repeatedly (mom of another kid in your kid's extracurricular program) is absolutely berating one of her children in a very demeaning way with very scanty reason. This goes on and on and is very obvious. WWYD?

1. If she's my very good friend, I absolutely say something. Of course. I'm not very good friends with anyone who would be offended by such a talk. I would try to make a bit of a joke out of it by exaggerating what she's doing behind the wheel, but I would definitely say something.

2. In this situation, I think the right thing to do is to say something. The few times this has happened to me, I've been too shocked and upset to say anything, though. But I do think it's the right thing to do.

Congratulations! I'm so happy to hear it. I just heard the good news and popped back over, just in case you were still checking in.
