I thought since we have been talking furniture and interior decorating, it might be fun to see inside each other's homes.

They also make floors with this stuff. Some of them look amazing, to me anyway. Then again, I also like the original terrazzo in our office. That stuff was put down in the 30s, and it is still in good shape, so are the American oak floors of the same vintage.

the original idea i had in mind were drapes that had a sort of messy look to them and that hung from big, circle clips, i don't know if you know what i'm talking about or not, but what i got instead were just ordinary drapes that clipped to standard, ordinary clips, yea, i could have bought these at a department store or through a catalog for a FRACTION of the price, it's my fault more than anything, i should have torn out a picture from a magazine or something, and i did express a disappointment when he came back to hang them, i wasn't interested in waiting anymore for window treatmetns to cover that window!
