1. Did you get a white Christmas where you live?

Yes Laughing

2. What was your/your children's/grandchildren's favorite gift?

Teen-probably the tablet that was a surprise, Tween-Ipod that was asked for and Fathead and Wii figure that were surprises

3. When do you take your Christmas decorations down?

Have to take them down by the end of the weekend as we are having a NYE party and not enough room with the tree up. Will probably just leave the outside things out though.

1. Did you get a white Christmas where you live? No. We get snow once every 10 years or so, and usually just a dusting.

2. What was your/your children's/grandchildren's favorite gift? I don't know, dd doesn't think of it that way, and didn't either when she was small.

3. When do you take your Christmas decorations down? Epiphany, January 6.

Do you exchange gifts? Does your dd make (or did make when she was younger) a list? Did you ever surprise her with something she did not expect?

"Do you exchange gifts? Does your dd make (or did make when she was younger) a list? Did you ever surprise her with something she did not expect?" ------- She only made a list once, when she was 5. I had to really push her. After that she refused on the grounds that it seemed too "gimme!" It has never really been all about the presents around here. Dh did get each of us a very beautiful necklace this year, and we were both pleasantly surprised.

1. No, although everything is encased in ice, which makes it exotic and kind of pretty when the light hits it right. 2. The older one seems inordinately please by a single-serving smoothie maker that I got him, and the younger one got some special controller for a game system from my sister that seems to be a big hit. 3. Always before Lent.

1.  Nope.  Currently it's sunny and about 40 degrees.

2.  I don't know, they seemed to enjoy everything.

3.  Usually the first week of January.

1. Did you get a white Christmas where you live? -- No, thank God.  I'm sick of winter weather and most especially snow.

2. What was your/your children's/grandchildren's favorite gift? --  I have no idea, although I think he really enjoyed the DS Santa brought him.  John and DIL's big gift this year was off their baby registry, but I think they were very pleased.

3. When do you take your Christmas decorations down? -- when I feel like it. For the outside stuff, I turn the timers off them on Jan 1, but wait for a mild day to officially take them down.  The inside stuff (aside from the window lights because they are part of the outside dislay) may come down this weekend.

1. Did you get a white Christmas where you live?   Yes, just an inch or so, enough to make everything pretty, but not too deep and not too cold.  It will be 40(F) by Saturday, so most of it will vanish.

2. What was your/your children's/grandchildren's favorite gift?  Mine was a tie between the MiTutto immersion blender, and the Kindle Fire HD.  DD#1's favorite was a tie between her Surface, and a Keurig.  DD#2's was a tie between her new Rachel Ray pots & pans, a Nook HD, and a pair of running shoes--she's a serious runnerGrandd is 2.  EVERYTHING was her favorite, for 5 minutes.  But she kept returning to the Duplo blocks and worktable.

3. When do you take your Christmas decorations down?  After 12th night.
