You know, being a greyhound--how much exercise does he get? I do know that they have fairly high activity levels...perhaps a few laps a day around the neighborhood would help?

That said, I have an 11 YO beagle. DN dropped a toy on the dog's head yesterday and the dog just looked up, sighed, and went back to sleep. I like lazy dogs who sleep a lot! ;)

You know, before I got pregnant (or before morningsickness kicked in) I walked him pretty much daily and took him to the dog park ever 2 - 3 days (off leash area LOTS of running and playing).

We researched dogs for years and made numerous visits to the Retired Racer group meetings.

First of all, don't get your hopes up. He probably won't settle down until he's two, so 18 months is pretty optimistic.

He's chewing because he's teething. He will outgrow it. I had a destructo-dog as well who managed to eat the siding off the back of the house, two swatch watches, a makeup kit (which

Oh I love great danes. The only reason I dont have them is they just dont LIVE long enough for me :o(. Part of the reason I got my cattle dog is they are long-lived. In fact the guiness book of world records apparently lists a cattle dog as the longest lived-29 years! I also have 2 small dogs, a brussels griffon and a french bulldog. The frenchie isnt a long lived dog as a rule, but we are hoping she defies the odds-both her parents made it into their teens rather than 9 or 10 like most of them. Shes very tiny and extremely healthy-so far none of the health issues they suffer from, so we will keep our fingers crossed!!!

Quick question for all you guys! If your dogs lie on your bed, what kind of bedspread do you have? My Pottery Barn silk and satin isn't holding up too well with the kitty claws and the dog, so I've put it away for company.
