were your (children)'s names picked out before they were born or were names decided upon when they were born?

how often is working status brought up in social settings/with friends, etc. ?

if there is one thing you could recapture about the past (before kids or/and husband, after kids, whatever) what would it be and why?

what are you looking forward to?

name one nice thing you're going to do today.

For #1 we had three names that we'd narrowed it down to and couldn't decide, so we waited till he was born. We both agreed he "looked" like one of the names, so there you have it. lol (Good thing we agreed!!) #2 was decided by DS while we were mulling over names. He just blurted out what he wanted us to name her, and since it was one of our favorites (and a family name to boot), we were happy.

Uh...I can't remember the last time. Maybe during like a playdate with other moms I don't know very well. And I remember one specific time when a friend who worked for the sheriff's department decided to quit to be a SAHM. She is a much more relaxed person now that she doesn't have to go to strangers' homes and remove their children.

SLEEP, because...duh, I need it! lol

I am not sure I agree, but OTOH I can't really argue with your perception of this.

Everybody's definition of "family" is different, and the more people you add to the mix the more complex it gets. I remember back when we only had one child being told that you really weren't a family with just one kid, you were just "playing house." Then when we hd our second, we were told that in "real" families, the kids had to outnumber the parents. Personally, I felt the minute DH and I were married, we became a family. Everything that's happened since then is adding to the family, not creating a new one from scratch.

Oh, I don't think we're selling ourselves short, we just recognize the difference between the way two people work and the way a group of three or more works.

I agree, there are definitely plenty of adult learners out there now.

Obviously I can't argue with how you feel about that, but I really think the two of you are selling yourselves a bit short for no good reason.
