were your (children)'s names picked out before they were born or were names decided upon when they were born?

For #1 we had three names that we'd narrowed it down to and couldn't decide, so we waited till he was born. We both agreed he "looked" like one of the names, so there you have it. lol (Good thing we agreed!!) #2 was decided by DS while we were mulling over names. He just blurted out what he wanted us to name her, and since it was one of our favorites (and a family name to boot), we were happy.

how often is working status brought up in social settings/with friends, etc. ?

Uh...I can't remember the last time. Maybe during like a playdate with other moms I don't know very well. And I remember one specific time when a friend who worked for the sheriff's department decided to quit to be a SAHM. She is a much more relaxed person now that she doesn't have to go to strangers' homes and remove their children.

if there is one thing you could recapture about the past (before kids or/and husband, after kids, whatever) what would it be and why?

SLEEP, because...duh, I need it! lol
