A skylight for my kitchen. The kitchen is in the center of the house and it is always dark in there. No matter what time of the day we have to use a light to work in there.

2. Are you looking forward to spring?

No really. I hate spring. I hate rain (although we desperately need it) and thunder storms are no fun either.

3. When is spring break where you are?

DD2 and DD3 are on spring break this week.

4. Any big plans for today?

Not really.

I am working on a project of cleaning up our paper work (shredding what we no longer need and filing what we do. I keep putting it off and putting it off. I finally realized that the reason that I have been putting it off is because the job in its entirety is a pretty massive undertaking. So a few weeks ago I decided to break it down into little steps. I do just a small portion of the job at a time. It will take a few weeks to get it done that way but I am making progress and am not longer putting it off. So I will work on that a bit.

DD1 and her boyfriend bought me a couple of jigsaw puzzles for my birthday. I may start one.

Maybe go to the gym.

5. Have we become a nation of whiners?

Yes.

Probably some work on the bath room.

2. Are you looking forward to spring?
Yes, it is time.

3. When is spring break where you are?
In 3 weeks or so (early this year).

4. Any big plans for today?
Nope.

5. Have we become a nation of whiners?
No, but the "gimme" mentality needs to be retooled in a major way. John Stewart said it well during his slap-down of the unfortunate Mr. Cramer, "Our wealth is work." There really is no free lunch.

It depends on how many thousand. If it was enough, I'd use it to add a bathroom to the second floor of the house. If it wasn't I'd replace the stove and refrigerator and possibly the washer and dryer.

2. Are you looking forward to spring?

Yes!

3. When is spring break where you are?

For the college students, it's this week. I don't get off. But since Gabe will be home and I won't have to drop DS off with my mom, I'll get to leave at 4 instead of 5 all this week. I'm not sure when the public schools have spring break-- probably the week after Easter.

4. Any big plans for today?

Nope. I need to sew a seam that's come undone on one of my pairs of pants and do laundry. I may haul out the vacuum and try to combat the dog hair dust bunnies.

5. Have we become a nation of whiners?

I don't really have an opinion.

"It depends on how many thousand. If it was enough,"

That is why I purposely left out an actual figure so everyone would have exactly what they needed to to exactly what they want.

I think that it is all relative. I think a few thousand would mean something much different to someone like Bill Gates than it would to someone at the bottom of the income range.

I would finally replace my horrible carpets.

2. Are you looking forward to spring? more than you can ever know. We still can't see out our front door b/c of the snow pile. I long to see a crocus or a daffodil

3. When is spring break where you are? the girl had Feb vacation a few weeks ago and has april vacation in um...April! ;-)

4. Any big plans for today? I have to work at a matinee at the theater (LA Theaterworks production of War of the Worlds- amazing piece of theater) and so the girl is going to hang out with friends from her REally Rosie cast before their rehearsal. I should be able to pick her up when rehearsal is over at 6pm.

5. Have we become a nation of whiners? oh my god yes -- absolutely. Not only whiners but of a horrible kind of ugly "I should have what he has /he doesn't deserve it I do" kind of whiners

I'm not sure how much it would cost to add the second bathroom anyway. I guess it would depend on if my dad was willing to do the work and how expensive my taste was when picking out the fixtures, etc.
