I have a feeling it's just a bunch of young kids (girls probably) who have no clue about talent but are voting for their "favorite." It's not a popularity contest, it's a talent contest. I also can't believe John remains!

I didn't watch last night but I almost wrecked when I heard it on the radio. The three most talented singers and they are in the last three? Something is so wrong with that. Plus, they need to put John Stevens out of his misery like another poster said. It is just painful to watch.

Yeah that was me! I think every week he's thinking like Dorothy "There's no place like home, there's no place like home..."

Even if he is being voted for by young girls, how can they? Isn't he dorky? Or is dorky the new "dreamy" ....whatever! I can't believe I am so into the show!

<> I hear ya! I dreamt about it all last night! If things continue this way I may have to stop watching. It's too painful!

He's my almost 10yo daughter's favorite. I haven't figured out why except that she likes the red hair.

I totally disagree. <<It's not a popularity contest, it's a talent contest.>> If that was true they wouldn't let the general, untalented, uneducated public vote.

I'm sooooo glad I never got started on this show.

Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color.  Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable.

I decided I am not watching anymore. I nearly fell off my chair with ice cream in hand when they told George to go to the B group. After discussing in length with another AI obsessed girlfrind, we decided that it's a bunch of preteen powervoting going on. All JPL votes went to him. I was so looking forawrd to the top 4 being Latoya, fantasia, george and Jennifer!

Btw. I noticed you said you live in Milford. I grew up in MI and am familiar with Milford. It is such a cute little town. We had lunch there last summer!

LOL! Ok, you're officially worse than me. Although, I called my other AI obsessed girlfriend last night after the show to "discuss". She was then interupted by another one of our friends calling thru to discuss. We are all 38. Maybe I DO need to get a life! LOL But I really DID enjoy the show up until last night. I really don't think I can watch anymore.

I think it's "local boy" syndrome. Last year, when Carmen Rasmussen was on, there was a huge push here in the media to vote for her because she is from Utah. They had ad campaigns, they always had her family on the news showing them dialing 500 phones to vote for her at "Carmen headquarters" and begged the public to vote for our local girl. I never did vote for her, I thought she was awful! I'm not going to vote for someone just because she lives around here, PUH-LEASE. This year, that one kid Jon was on there, and he's a Mormon who goes to BYU Idaho, so they did it again............. vote for Jon, etc. Vote for the mormon boy, get him in there, blah blah blah. I thought he was awful, and his dancing, he looked like one of those yapping/jumping dog toys. UGH! I think that is what is keeping people like the red-head in. These local areas have nothing better to do than try to get "their boy" in by voting their brains out. He can sing better than I can, but he sure the hell is not better than Jennifer, Dianna, LaToya, and even Jasmine. People are looking for connections to these people (ie he is from Indiana or she is a Mormon or he is a Muslim or she is from Taiwan, etc) rather than looking at who really has the best talent. It would be hard for me to choose between Dianna, Jennifer, and LaToya at this point, they are all wonderful singers. But the fact that they were the bottom three is pathetic and verifies, IMO, this local boy syndrom

Yes, I was in shock! The poll on MSN yesterday had Jon clearing leaving (something like 70% of people thought he should). Obviously, those people didn't vote! (including me... blushing....)
