1.  How many miles do you consider a road trip and when does it cross over into an insanity trip?

I consider about 500-800 miles (or less) to be a road trip, over that it becomes insanity, lol.

2.  Armadillos, endangered species or not?

Yes, based on the number of ones that I saw dead on the side of the road, yes.

3.  Boiled peanuts, regular or cajun?

Neither.

4. GPS, MapQuest, road atlas or some combo?

Combo of GPS and MQ

5.  Hotel, motel, bed & breakfast, condo, house or ?

Hotel or condo/house if longer than a weekend.

6.  Rent or drive your own car?

Both, depends on the trip.

7.  How often do you stop?

Every 3-4 hours.

8.  How many tent revivals did you see on your last road trip?

I saw two, lol.

9.  Ipod, podcast, radio, cds or ?

Ipod and radio.

10.  Eat local or fast food?

I try to eat local, the gas stations in the south often have great food!

1.  How many miles do you consider a road trip and when does it cross over into an insanity trip?

I dunno.  It has to be a getaway to be a road trip.  Involve an overnight.

2.  Armadillos, endangered species or not?

No clue.

3.  Boiled peanuts, regular or cajun?

Regular, but alas, peanuts are not on my eating plan nowadays.

4. GPS, MapQuest, road atlas or some combo?

A combo.  I usually travel with maps and an atlas, and program our destinations into the GPS as well.

5.  Hotel, motel, bed & breakfast, condo, house or ?

Yes.   We tend to stay at chain motels on the road and something a little nicer at our final destination, if there is one.

6.  Rent or drive your own car?

Drive our own vehicle.

7.  How often do you stop?

For gas, for lunch (usually picnic) and whenever there is a world's largest anything along the way.

8.  How many tent rivals did you see on your last road trip?

Zero

9.  Ipod, podcast, radio, cds or ?

Sometimes we all listen to audiobooks, but this time we just listened to the radio whenever we could get NPR

10.  Eat local or fast food?

Local all the way.

Apologies to those who don't like road trips...top 10 thoughts/comments from my latest road trip...-- that would be me!

1.  How many miles do you consider a road trip and when does it cross over into an insanity trip? -- Any unplanned trip of more than about 50 miles is a road trip.  Any planned trip of about 300 miles is a road trip.   Things cross into an insanity trip at about 500 miles.

2.  Armadillos, endangered species or not? - not.  As evidenced by the one that we think lives under our shed, and by the sheer number we see smushed on the road daily.

3.  Boiled peanuts, regular or cajun? - raw preferably.  If roasted, salted.  Flavored is good too when roasted.

4. GPS, MapQuest, road atlas or some combo? -- GPS.   Her name is Karen and she was way cheaper than any marriage therapist.

5.  Hotel, motel, bed & breakfast, condo, house or ? -- hotel -- usually the Holiday Inn line, as that's where we have a membership (Priority Club). A Hilton will also do, as I have a Hilton Honors membership too, but don't use it often so don't have many points.

6.  Rent or drive your own car? -- drive own.

7.  How often do you stop? -- every 2 hours or so for whiz breaks and caffeine.

8.  How many tent rivals did you see on your last road trip? - tent rivals?

9.  Ipod, podcast, radio, cds or ? -- ipod.  Love that Dh's new car bluetooths to his.

10.  Eat local or fast food? - local. Almost always local.  Our rule is that we cannot eat at any restaurant that we have here.  We can do the occasional convenient chain, but only if it is one we don't have (such as Friday's or Red Robin).
