I think "personal boundaries" are a very personal and cultural thing. Not everyone thinks of birthing as a freaky or scary experience.

Why are you assuming that I am only familiar with weddings like my own?

We furnish a complimentary bottle of chilled champagne for the wedding toast, a three layer wedding cake, table decorations, long-stemmed red rose for the bride

Why do they include these things?

Because you are acting as if Ladybug is doing something completely unheard of and outside the realm of human experience.

And has offered to give them a reception as it seems other family and friends would have liked to spend the special day with them.

So sad for your dad not to be able to be at your wedding. Couldn't your parents get along for one day to see you get married?

I have been to many weddings, my own, one that had divorced parents, and even ones who wouldn't talk to each under other circumstances.

This is why I think you only must understand one kind of wedding. Not everyone wants all their relatives at their wedding, and some people don't find it "sad" if for some reason or another, someone isn't invited or can't come. Some of are actually willing to believe that Rollmops was able to analyze all factors involved and come to a decision about whether to invite someone based on something other than internet second guessing.

ooh, it's a GAME! Let me see if I can guess!

<>

I would think that this would be for the bride and groom to enjoy a little alcoholic, romantic libation -- and maybe toast each other.

<>

because maybe they want to enjoy some "dessert".

<>

so they can sit at a beautiful table for two that is symbolic of the ritual they just went through.

<>

because roses, especially long-stemmed one are just romantic...

it sounds lovely for ladybug!
