ITA with you. I couldn't imagine missing a graduation ceremony either but I am sure there are reasons behind everyone who does.

Me too and have been to ones that have run the gamet from very inexpensive to very expensive and I still loved mine the most. And...we got compliments for many, many years after how great our wedding was and how much they enjoyed it and had a great time.

There are many reasons one might miss a graduation. LIke someone can't be in two places at once.

Thanks :)

I am sure there are reasons also why the graduate would miss their own graduation also.

Ladybug, I just wanted to share with you tat I spent a good part of the morning before work at the senate hearings on gay marriage in NH -- I stood shoulder to shoulder with ordinary people who just wanted the right to marry the person they loved. I stood shoulder to shoulder with straight couplse who couldn't understand why anyone would think a gay marriage threatened the sanctity of a straight one -- and I listened to the opposition call me "confused" "perverted" "damaged" "sick" I listed to one woman tell me to 'get over it' that it "wasn't about me" I listend to another say that I was "harming the children"

all. because. I want. to marry. the woman. I love.

so what I learned to day is that MARRIAGE the right of MARRIAGE is so precious and so dear that of course it doestn' matter how you get married when you getmarried who is there when you get married or if you serve cake -- what matters is you. get. married. And I looked around at the hundreds of people who would WISH they could start a thread like this and argue about witnesses and eloping because they can't... not yet.

Good for you for standing up for what YOU need to start your MARRIAGE off the best way for you. Good. For. You.

I hope I can be as lucky some day.
