IME, the key is the religion of the kids (to grand-parental approval of the marriage), not the religion of the the person officiating at the wedding.

when my late sister got married the first time she had one of her best friends who is an episcopal priest con celebrate with our parish priest - it was lovely.


of course I think her second wedding in my brothers back yard was lovlier -- she was sooo happy and radiant.

My father would never wear polyester, but the only suit he owns is one he had made when he graduated college. It still fits him, although it does look quite odd style-wise. When he was first wooing my mother, he did wear a tux regularly (it was still required for nice parties back then) in an attempt to win over his future MIL.
