Well, by golly! Since you've always had a place to escape to, that must mean EVERYONE else at every other wedding in the world has also had a place to escape to.

I do not see why people get insulted by the differences in the world. I remember one time I was out front talking to the receptionist in my department, and she asked me about what I thought of a third party's new car, and I said I thought it was nice except I would have chosen a different color, and somebody just standing around got all insulted because that was the color of HER car, and I had no business insulting the color of her car....I was just stunned....a casual acquaintance prefers a different color car, and you are acting like I have spit in your face? Don't people have more important things to do than care about what relative strangers think about their taste?

While I think the important events are well....important, I also think the everyday ones are just as important.

I already told you why I would buy it. Because I would wear it enough times to make it more cost effective to buy it rather than to keep renting it over and over. That is the only reason I would buy anything I could rent.

"Always"? If by "always" you mean "you can always just leave", yes, that's true. I've been to some weddings where the logistics of the venue meant there was no "quieter place". Great assumption on your part, though,.

I'm sorry... I should take you as my date to a small, nice wedding sometime.

My Dad bought his too. While a graduate only attends once, a professor attends frequently...and wearing the regalia.
