There are a lot of new posters out there and some old faces, lets all introduce ourselves again...

Sure that would work in some cases. There was a long gap between the wedding and reception, but my dh & I were in the wedding & required to go to a beach and pose for pictures and pose for pictures at the reception etc. And again, the dd wasn't invited.

You might think you have your answer, but you are simply mistaken. Some people seem to be quite comfortable making up their minds based on mistaken evidence.

I have been to many "ceremonies" and not the receptions. Maybe we are a little "friendlier" where I come from and the churches welcome ANYONE to see the happy couple exchange their vows.
I can see how that could be "odd" for some other posters as they don't even think other people should be there, even close family.

Well I know mine wouldn't have. My younger dd was not even born then but she is quite sensitive to loud noises. It would have been quite a fuss with her!

That's why I was a bit surprised at the people who came & asked where she was. It just didn't seem like a place for her to be & I was glad I had a babysitter. We got to stay up late & dance ourselves! : )

Thank you! It was driving me nuts enough that I was about to post a spelling correction.
