I wasn't aware that middle school offers AP classes. I thought that was only high school.

i thought so too, AP or advanced placement here are for college credit.

Yes! It wasn't that 2's were a problem, just that they were not reflective of how the kids were really doing. There were not any milestones to measure with, just where they expected the kids to be at the end of the year....and well, none of the kids were there yet, when the year was just beginning.
