Any of you have teens who are talking about the semicolon project today? Evidently we should all be checking our children's wrists.  < https://m.facebook.com/pages/The-Semicolon-Project/659615364052145?id=659615364052145&_rdr>

Are parents waiting to see symbols/signs before they step in, pay attention and talk with their children?  What prevents them from talking sooner? IYO? You know, My kid knew someone that killed herself where we lived before, Are you aware there's a symbol for suicide awareness on your wrist too? I believe it's an arrow but I'd have to check with my DD to be sure. I take what my kids share personally and seriously too and I am thankful we talk, I can't imagine otherwise.

So, if you found out that one of your kids had painted a semicolon on his/her wrist and had shared a pic of it online, you would not be concerned because you already have it covered?

I am sure Marla's kids know what today is or at least the friends they hang out with.

So what about drug use, fighting, aggressive behavior with one of their kids friends Bord? What would you do about that?

. I am not sure what you are asking.  If you are asking about what I would do if one of my childrena' friends became involved in something dangerous or problematic, the answer is, I would do what I could to help.

Are you trying now to imply that I am a bad parent because my daughter, or possibly her friends, are aware of 4/20?

I think most people are. Marijuana is a leading story on most major news websites today, all over social media, and I'm assuming also on TV. I think that if your teen isn't aware of what 4/20 is, they're are either lying to you or are woefully disconnected from the world.
