Sexy Underwear for Teens

I only have boys, so while I have an opinion on this, wanted to see how the moms of teen girls feel about store's such as Victoria's Secret carrying lines of sexy underwear that are for college aged girls, but appeal to a teen audience.  They were recently targeted by moms for their "Bright Young Things" spring break line.  From Time.com:

But should anyone be walking around in undies that declare “Dare You,” “Call Me” or “Feeling Lucky?” like some of the missives printed on the manufacturer’s spring-break inventory? That’s certainly a matter of personal taste — for adults. But for young girls, “This speaks to the idea that girls have a fantasy of being raped, that women on some level are asking for it,” says Dana Udall-Weiner, a Santa Fe, N.M., psychologist who works with girls on body image.

Would you let your teen wear suggestive underwear?  Do you think that teen girls have a right to feel confident and sexy, or are they getting the wrong message from retailers?

Why would she charge to let someone borrow her laundry facilities?

No, there is no payment involved. She's someone I'm close to, and we often do each other favors.

We just went through that, Peachy, how girls see other girls underwear in the locker room and at sleepovers. You said you buy your dd's underwear. Does she pick it out or do you? My dd has picked out her underwear and bra's for years. She is pretty much middle of the road but she is like every other young girl and goes for the fancy underwear.

They would have to pay if they went to the laundromat Peachy. I don't know, when I didn't have a washer/dryer (renting), I went to a local laundromat every week.

I also volunteer to wash bedding for the emergency winter shelter our church runs in January and February. See, I've been blessed with laundry facilities. Not everyone has.

That's great Bord. Nice to do favors for each other. We have a neighbor like that. We do things back and forth :)

Why are you so concerned with my daughter's underwear?

Peachy, we are speaking of teen girls and underwear (you know the point of this thread lol). I am not concerned over your dd's underwear, per se. Just asked if she had a say in it and I am sure she knows what other girls are wearing.
