1. Do you shop locally?

2. How much shopping do you do online?

3. Do you antique, thrift shop, or go to flea markets or yard sales?

1. The majority of my shopping is local.  By that I do not mean just small local stores.  I also shop some of the big chain stores but ones located in my city rather than neighboring cities so my gets  the sales tax as much as possible.

2. Not a whole lot.  Our family does have a bit of a Amazon obsession.  But that usually comes out at holidays.   I am waiting now for a purse I bought from them with a gift card my DD1 got me for my birthday.   I buy some things on Barnes and Noble to download on my tablet.  A lot of online shopping is for things I cannot get locally.

3. I do sometimes thrift shop.  I got some work shorts from Goodwill a few weeks ago.

<<If you're speaking of the local grocer I think you're speaking of (one that's been significantly busier than the other recently?)--their whole food section has been a life saver for me w/the FA thing. Saves me the trip to Whole Foods--the only thing I can't get there is Tofurky pizza. But I can buy their pizza dough in the refridgerated case & some Daiya cheese shreds and make it myself. So NBD. ;)>>

Yes, that would be the one!  They have a great selection, I thought about taking savcal there the last time she was here to show her my world of groceries but since she has to settle for WM, I thought that would be cruel.

<<So I guess you mean you like them for the taste and not neccessarily for the nutrition.>>

Well yes, since that what I said multiple times now.  Where is the confusion?   YO, they are chips, lol.

<<WHO eats chips for the nutrition?>>

Like I said before, I wasn't placing them on a nutritional tower or anything, they are chips and man do they taste yummy.

Yeah, that wouldn't be good. I might just wear a purple dress I bought for a communion last year. I really don't "need" to buy anything new and I have a cute pair of shoes that I bought with it too. It is good for dinner for our cruise too so if I can get a few wearings out of it, I will be happy :)

That sounds perfect!  I like the shoes too.  Sexy!

<<Oh, ok so you are going by taste and not actual Nutrition. Have you ever compared Lays to Tyrells?>>

Of course I'm going by taste and not actual nutrition, again they are potato chips, lol.  And yes, as I said in my post, I would rather have a Tyrells than a Lay's any old day, better quality equals better taste to me.  I can't think of any food where better quality ingredients and process of cooking doesn't equal a better product, can you?

But if you look at the Nutrition facts, they are not as good as the Lays. Lays is just potatoes, oil and salt also.

I don't think Lauren had said her feelings about the eating process has affected her life in any way. If her aversion actually led her to avoid eating to the point of un healthiness, then she might. But it doesn't. She eats normally. So why bring in a doctor?

If she goes for her yearly physical and they find nothing wrong with it, then they should know what they are talking about. IMO I can't see how eating or lack of eating like that can be very healthy. But then again, that is a doctors call, not mine :)

<<I don't know, I'm not sure I agree that it's not a normal thing but do you think the opposite could also not be a normal thing, always wanting to eat?

For growing kids yeah lol. I guess I should say that I don't "always wanting to eat" but I do look forward to what I am eating and I always want to hear what others have had to eat (especially if they go out to a function or whatever). >>

I don't think it would be a problem in growing kids but I do think it could be a problem in adults.
