1. Do you shop locally?

2. How much shopping do you do online?

3. Do you antique, thrift shop, or go to flea markets or yard sales?

Have you ever seen the pictures of the ants with butter and margarine?  They won't touch the fake stuff!

DD1 just wrote a paper for Ag class about incubating eggs.  I'll see what she has to say when she gets home...  :)

I don't either, any more.  I use butter only; I find I use a lot less, but I enjoy it a lot more :)

I bet it's an interesting paper, but I am a bit confused.  How would a paper on incubating eggs be relevant in a discussion about eating eggs?

I don't even care about what anything tastes like.  I care a lot, though, about what my food has eaten.

Real food trumps fake food every single time.

So you get no enjoyment out of eating?

Do you shop locally?

When I can... mostly I try to patronize small independent booksellers, card stores, things of that nature. for clothes it doesnt work.. tiny local boutiques never carry clothes for giants

2. How much shopping do you do online? mmm not too much .. some at Christmas thru Lands End, some for the girl through online dance stores, almost none through amazon as Im not really a fan.  and again really hardto buy clothes for amazonian fatties like me on line so I just avoid it.

3. Do you antique, thrift shop, or go to flea markets or yard sales? NO.. I have HORRIBLE dust and mold allergies and unless it's open air i'm really a goner. This presents a problem as I am married to an antiquing junkie.. so we compromise.. I spend lots of time on benches outside shops reading while she putters away and then she buys me lunch :-)

That's a good point because just as our bodies are affected by what we eat, so are the animals that we eat.  If the animal has a better diet than it's going to taste better.  That's why free range tastes better (imo) than an animal that is housed in box and not allowed to move.
