1. Did you get more snow yesterday or today?

2. What is for lunch?

3. What is your favorite coldcut?

But do you like green eggs and ham?

Sorry to hear that sounds a bit odd when one is talking about a love relationship between employer and employee.  I think employer gifts are a great thing, but as an expression of love between employer and employee, also a bit odd, imo.

Is it love between classmates too?

We got about 6-8 inches yesterday, rain and then freezing rain this morning, and it started snowing again about an hour ago.

2. What is for lunch?

Chicken broth and cranberry juice (we're sick and pushing fluids)

3. What is your favorite coldcut?

I'm not really a fan of deli meats, but will eat turkey if it's being served.

Actually, any kind of a tangible gift from my employer skeeves me out.  What is this, the Middle Ages?  We don't need to get paid in kind anymore, we're on a cash economy.  Like my work?  Give me a raise.  Or a bonus.  Not a ham, or a turkey, or a box of chocolates.

We get raises every year, bonuses every year and profit sharing. I would call that a win, win situation.

Oh, no doubt I'm in the minority.  And I was all over it when my kids were that age ... I've changed my view on it over the years. As I've matured into an old fogey.

lol

I don't feel *bad* about it, because I have a pretty good relationship with my staff, despite not being able to do more for them.   I do wish I could do more, but I don't feel BAD about it.   We can't get gifts from our owners - becasue our owners are the taxpayers.

Oh well

Oh man, now I want grapefruit.  Luckily, I have some.  :)

You are supposed to feel bad because your experience is not like molly's. Duh, haven't you learned anything from all of the "I'm sorry or "so sad" comments over the years?  Wink
