1. Did you get more snow yesterday or today?

2. What is for lunch?

3. What is your favorite coldcut?

The idea that it's regional cracks me up, Lol. Are people in Alaska as cold as the weather is there?

I get along very well with my coworkers.  We work (emphasis here on WORK) well together.  I don't socialize with my coworkers because I have friends and family for that.

Sorry to hear that you limit the friends you have and socialize with. Why cant people you work with also be friends outside of work?

And I have absolutely no interest in the social kiss--especially in the workplace.  The workplace isn't an appropriate venue for social kissing, imo.  Occasionally, a coworker will--over a period of many years--achieve friendship status.  I have a few of those.  We still don't hug and kiss in the workplace and we don't make social plans with each other at work.  That's what cell phones and texting are for.

Sounds like you want nothing to do with people you work with. Sad, IMO as I have gained friends with so many great people over the years with coworkers. Even my dh is still friends with many people from jobs in the past. Heck, my dh was my coworker lol.

People who are just coworkers?  No, I'm not hugging and kissing them.

Seems like very cold relations. I work with all these people 2 hours before the party and still everyone gives kisses hello. Never thought that was out of the ordinary.

If by warm you mean genuinely glad to see each other, then yes, there are many warm greetings.  If you mean kissing/hugging, no.

and how do you accomplish that then?

While I have hugged, I do not think I have ever kissed anyone outside of my family (or someone  romantically involved with prior to my marriage).

NEVER when greeting someone? I even kiss my mom when I see her and when I leave her after a long time away. We always kissed family when we saw them. I kiss all my friends coming and going.

Family yes,  outside of family, not that I can remember.

I'm very friendly with my coworkers.  And with my boss (shoot, he and I shared beers at James Taylor and Mumford & Sons concerts).  But kisses cross the line.  My HR manager (whom I'm friendly with) would be in a panic at the thought.

I enjoy my job. And I'm friendly with my coworkers (we have a cocktail evening planned next week) and with my boss. But I don't want my work to become my family. I want some separation between work and home life.
