Pretty lazy day here.  Started with Zumba (of course) followed by a trip to the famer's market (beets, onions, zucchini, basil, ground bison, and bell peppers).   Then I had intended to clean up the kitchen a bit, to include sweeping and mopping the floor. I ended up roasting a ton of beets, baking sweet potatoes for lunch and making baba ghanouj.   Will still sweep/mop ...

After lunch we're going to the pool - taking my audiobook and earbuds, some frozen grapes, and a fruit frozen drink (cosmos or pom margaritas - undecided as of yet).

We're having bierochs for dinner.

We'll walk the dog later too.  And maybe watch a movie.

Just got home from running to Kohls to get my ds some dress pants. Dd came and got 2 bathing suits. Then ran to a local store for coldcuts, meat, fruits, veggies, Stopped to eat lunch and then need to go to grocery store for the rest of my shopping. Dh going to see Scott Strapp (meet and greet, sound check and VIP concert tickets) tonight with a friend who won tickets so making the kids chicken (maybe marinated and on BBQ), Macaroni and Cheddar (from local store-they have the best salads so can't wait to try this one) and Broccoli (evoo, garlic and breadcrumbs). Think I might stop and get me some fireball and cream soda too for later tonight.

Had to google both Scott Stapp and the fireball/cream soda thing. Won't be doing either anytime soon, lol.

   Started out making potato salad.

Then went on my regular grocery shopping trip.  Stopping off on the way home to get some peaches from a road side stand, yum.

Folded and put away the laundry that DH did yesteray.

Lazy afternoon, playing on computer, watching TV and reading.

This evening going go a BBQ, hence the potato salad

I bought a dress; talked to my dh, who is traveling; no dogs, as they are in the kennel; made a salad for lunch, and ate it; called my mother (that takes a while); went to the gym; had dinner at the club; stopped at the greengrocer on the way home; home by 10 and now chatting here.

Whopps Stapp not Strapp lol. Yes, Creed.

Never tried that combo yet but looked up recipes with fireball and that came up. I am always game though and I loved fireball when I tried it last week for the first time.

Woke up at what I thought was the middle of the night b/c DD was up.  When I went to lay back down the clock said 5 a.m. which is really early for me on a Saturday but I started my day with coffee.  I played here pretty early, I later went to the grocery store, watered the flowers and walked the dog.  It turned out to be a lovely day and we went to the pool for most of the afternon then just DD1 and I went to 4:00 mass, I'm unwinding right now.  May order chinese for dinner.

I spent most of the morning working on a very neglected sewing machine someone had given me--it was filthy dirty, but not filled with the typical lint from fabric and thread cast offs--apparently it had been sitting in someone's basement or garage for several years.  Got it cleaned up and got it to sew, but the tension still needs some work, so I took it downstairs to my workbench so I can dismantle the hook and tension assembly and see if I can't get a better balanced stitch out of her.

After that, I packed up another sewing machine that's waiting for a new motor--my OSMG (Old Sewing Machine Guy) tells me it'll be another couple weeks before it comes in.  And then I collected several old machine heads that I'm taking to Geek Fest for the freebie table--they're useful as parts as that's about it.  Then I packed my big sewing box for next weekend--thread, needles, scissors, pins, my small craft iron--that sort of thing.

After that I gave the sewing room a good vacuum, then a sweep and a mop, so it's ready for me to get to work tomorrow.  I want to get fabric cut for blocks for a baby quilt I want to work on next weekend, as well as prepare a demonstration I'm going to give, and a smallish class on making chicken pin cushions, and I need to sew my exchange blocks for Sewing Machine Geek Fest.  And at some point either tomorrow or Monday, I'll have to mow the yard.  Then I spent most of the afternoon and early evening sleeping.

Mostly driving but we got into Niagara on the Lake early enough to take a long walk around the town. It's very pretty.

Okay, most everything is packed, and ready to load up on Thursday, except the 3/4 sized treadle that I'm bringing to sew on, but I can tear that down Thursday after work.  I have all my show and tells packed, my projects to work on, fabrics cut for the pin cushion class, all my exchange blocks sewn (but I still have to sign them) my cutting mat and rotary cutter and rulers.

Only four more days to go!! :D

We had a busy Saturday...

Made and left breakfast for the misc kids who spent the night, did some set up financial stuff for moving college funds, attended a game, lunch with other parents, swim in the pool, quick nap, party #1, party #2 and home to crash.  Kids had their own social stuff of course and were in and out of the house and pool, as were their friends, lol.
