What's your weather like today

If you've made a new years resolution have you kept it or broken it already

Do you clip coupons

My regular grocery store has lots of in store coupons.  They have a display for them but they also put them right next to the item.  I used 4 of them yesterday.  All were items that I had planned on buying anyway  but in some cases I had to buy more of the item than I had planned on buying  to use the coupon, for instance $1 off 2 boxes of cereal. I bought 2 to use the coupon even though I had only planned on buying one.

I forgot about the coupon book, There's this flyer/booklet I get once a month or so in the mail too.  Sometimes I save on meat that way or produce/salad.  Not much else.

I see.  Cereal is expensive, I like those coupons that spit out of the little machines too.

I lucked out.  when I moved, I moved onto a street with a State Trooper living at the end of the road.  We don't just get plowed quickly, we get plowed DURING snowstorms :)

They laid off so many people that they are always short when it comes to storms. The guy who "manages" our area is not very good either but always seems to have his street done.

Although we still occasionally get the coupon holder near items in the store, our store has an electronic reader to read the store discount card, when scanned it will print out coupons based on what you've bought before.  Sometimes it tries to steer me to brands I don't usually buy, but most of the time the coupons are for things I've bought before.  I got a nice one for white vinegar recently--I buy that by the gallon as a fabric softener, so I use a lot of it.

The coupon reader is separate from, but near, the personal scanner guns.  Uses the same scan of your discount card to activate.

Yeah I don't even know if they do that anymore either as I don't use coupons as much as I have in the past.

My store does not have a discount card but it does spit out coupons at check out based on my shopping history.   Like you said sometimes it is for items I have bought and sometimes it tries to steer me to different brands.    Last year when DD2 got her tonsils out i bought some baby food  so for awhile after that I was getting baby related coupons.
