I'm curious, how old were you, when you first started serving in your community?

Well, good for you.
I do have babysitters that are available much of the time. I don't think that I should have to call someone, at the last minute, b/c my kid didn't want to follow through on a commitment that he made. Fortunately, my kids take their commitments seriously, and this wasn't an issue.

I believe kids should also take their commitments seriously but unless it was impossible for me to cancel my plans, I would let my child go to the party.

if my child makes a commitment - and that's to ANYTHING - you'd better believe i'd expect her or him to keep it.

No-really I didn't think I was that cryptic.
