Who am I to say that I would assist in a lethal injection but it is ok to defend my home by killing someone. So it is ok to kill someone in self defense but not execute a criminal. A human life is a human life. If you dont support the death penalty than how can you honestly support protecting your home at all costs?

Why would I? I didnt say you said it. I said it had been said. The double standard is not coming from me. It is coming from those that feel the death penalty is wrong because it disregards human life, but take no issue with killing someone to protect their home.
LMAO...The quote that is in the <<<>>>> is YOUR statement.
Here is YOUR original post.
http://messageboards.ivillage.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=iv-pssahwoh&msg=17600.181 So again where did I say anything that resembles this?

I don't think it's funny.

Then by all means, explain what it has to do with my statement.

NOne of those links show a double standard.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_standard -- the definition of double standard requires that different standards be applied to different groups, in the same scenario. In all these posts, there are DIFFERENT SCENARIOS, not different standards. In order for a double standard to occur, there have to be "like circumstances." In self-defense and execution, there are not like circumstances.
Did you miss something?

The jury needed only five hours to find Rea Harper guilty of first-degree murder, and she was sentenced to 65 years in prison.

In 2004, more than two years after her conviction, the initial verdict was thrown out on a technicality, and Rea Harper was freed on probation.
The retrial began in summer 2006. The court ruled that serial killer Tommy Lynn Sells' confession would be permitted as evidence in her new trial, despite questions about its credibility. Meanwhile, the court ruled that some of the damaging testimony from Rea Harper's ex-husband would not be allowed.
So again this case PROVES you can be foudn guilty of first degree murder, get OUT on a technicality and them be retried. Just like I said all along.
