Not sure why it would be hard to cancel them. Did you call the cc company?

I have a variety and it has never affected my credit rating.

I don't buy enough stuff in stores that offer these things to make it worth my while to keep track of the bills etc. I have 2 credit cards, total, and I see no reason to saddle myself with more.

Yes, I called the credit card company to cancel.

Have you applied for a mortgage or loan recently? Did you get the lowest available rate?

I love Kohls as I get the coupons too and then I get the Kohls cash back. I will be using that this weekend with my 30% coupon so what I need to go shopping for (one of the kids needs underwear-lol!!) will most likely be free. I usually get underwear and socks for everyone with my Kohls cash.

Yes, and we closed 6mo ago on a refinance, 3.75%. I'm pretty sure we got a very good rate.

We used a mortgage broker. We also have a financial planner who recommended that mortgage broker. This is the same financial planner who got us out of the market in Aug 08 and dollar cost averaged back in 09.
