You could buy a couple of under-the-bed storage bins to put it in. A couple of pretty pillow cases hung one over the other on the back of your bedroom or bathroom doors (or on a wall) is another thought.

Good luck!! I know how tough it can be to create storage in a tiny space.

We have a large storage closet upstairs. That is where the dirty laundry has to go.

Ours are in our closets. I have four laundry baskets in my closet. One for delicates (like sweaters and other "hand washables", one for colors, one for whites, and one for dry cleaning. Obviously we've got a pretty decent-sized closet. DS's hamper is also in his closet. I don't use big hampers, just plastic laundry baskets for us and a willow laundry basket for DS.

Everyone has a laundry hamper on their bedrooms.

We have a laundry room centrally located upstairs, it was something I insisted on when we renovated. After years of having to find *creative* solutions to various dirty laundry storage challenges, I just wanted it all in one convenient place.

We have our laundry basket in our hallways -- one upstairs near the stairs (not where it can be tripped over) and one downstairs near the kitchen (i.e. centrally located).

We had our laundry room on the second floor with all the bedrooms in our previous home, and i LOVED it!! it was so logical. the hamper was in the hall right across from the washer and dryer.

in this house, i have a huge hamper my dad built for me in dh and my bedroom, as we are downstairs and ds2 has it in the linen closet in his bathroom upstairs with the rest of the bedrooms. the linen closet is right in the bathroom, and about six feet wide and 2 1/2 feet deep, so there is plenty of room. our laundry room is downstairs in this house, and i really like it there too.

We have a long and shallow closet with two bars on either side of a set of shelves that my dad installed. DH has shirts on the top bar and pants on the bottom. (Great space saver!) There are about 5 shelves down the middle where I stack shorts, sweatshirts and hats. The bottom hole is large enough for stacked laundry baskets. When the top one gets full, I drag them all out and separate the laundry.

The kids have their own in their rooms.

Ours are on the floor of the closet as well. If your shoes are there, I would get a hanging shoe rack.

Good luck! I know what it's like to live in tight quarters!
