Can you believe the end of the school year is upon us? Seems as we get older and older the time goes by faster and faster.

1. When is the last day of school for your children?

2. Are you happy with their grades for the year?

3. Any parents have children graduating (any years)?

4. What are your children's summer plans?

And yes, I added a 2 to my name as I am having a problem posting and do not know why.

These ceremonies for the boys are more specifically related to their grades, not academic grades but the fact that they are graduating from 6th &

i wouldn't automatically assume that the timing reflected some sort of valuation/devaluation on the school's part. since there isn't any logic to it, there must have been some effort put into separating the two, and i'd think that the early a.m. event would have been the exception--school staff would normally schedule during the school day. my guess is that you have some go-getter parent(s) from your school's

1. When is the last day of school for your children? End of this month for both of them.

2. Are you happy with their grades for the year? Yes.

3. Any parents have children graduating (any years)? N/A.

4. What are your children's summer plans? Our usual mix of hanging out, swim team, and a few camps. We have a couple of trips planned and will get in as many camping weekends as we can. We're all looking forward to it.

1. When is the last day of school for your children? Shortly before memorial day

2. Are you happy with their grades for the year? Yes they are doing awesome in school. I'd be happy with their grades as long as they were putting forth their best effort.

3. Any parents have children graduating (any years)? ONe is graduating from elementary school.

4. What are your children's summer plans? Older one is going to daycamp to be a volunteer counselor in training for multiple weeks. We're going down to my parents' ocean front cabin for a week or more. Both dd's will be working on their new business and other than that hanging out with friends and me & dh.

You're lucky, those 9-1 slots fill up fast around here, I was lucky to get both of my boys in the couple of ones that they really wanted to attend!

1. When is the last day of school for your children? -- May 27

2. Are you happy with their grades for the year? -- The Boy, yes. The Girl, ehhh. We'll see how she does in the next 2 weeks.

3. Any parents have children graduating (any years)? -- nope.

4. What are your children's summer plans? -- The Girl and I go to Savannah, GA for a week right after school is out. The Boy will spend some time at Camp Grandma that week.

Then The Kids will go see their dad from June 5 to July 10.

Good points. Your experience is more mine too.

Fowl, also think about space constraints. WHere the schools often break up ceremonies by grade or something because where isn't enough audience space and parking to accomodate (potentially) 2 parents, a sibling or two, and maybe a grandparent for every kid in the school. By breaking it up, they only have to house about 1/2 the people each time.

School doesn't apply to any of us, currently--not me, not John, not FDIL nor FDSGS.

John and FDIL are planning to be married this summer. Prior to that, they move into their brand new townhouse. FDIL is hoping to find a job some time soon (it's been tough going since she moved back to Maryland in January), but they can easily afford the townhouse on John's salary.

Once they close on the townhouse, I have a weekend in Lancaster with my vintage sewing machine peeps and the weekend after that, I'm hosting the wedding shower.

Frankly, I'm hoping for a REALLY quiet August.
