1. Does your home have CAC or AC Units?

2. Does your job now, or any job you ever had, have early days off in the Summer?

3. What is the most romantic thing anyone has done for you?

I don't know what you're talking about. As I said yesterday, I'm a WOH, homeschooling mom of five. Does that sound like someone else you know?

How long have you been lurking and WHY would you not respond before yesterday?

Yeah, I can create an APA citation for an About.com article written by a teenager. Doesn't make it reliable.

That's exactly the point that several of us were trying to make.  I don't dye my hair because I can't see going to get touchups (or doing it myself) every 3 weeks or so, and I think roots look terrible.  You said that you never had roots showing, but clearly you did.

Again, the point of this was about the pictures that others have commented on but can't possibly say where they saw them. Maybe you know?  Bawahhhaaa.....

What in the WORLD is there in my comments about the newspaper article that you cited, Jambles, that would lead you to believe that I feel threatened, much less impel you to try to insult me? Is being wrong that distressing for you? How unfortunate.

Jams, since I was trying to check Dr. Heller's information, I googled around a bit. It seems that there is a fair amount of discussion of just what the divorce stats really are, and how they should be compiled. It frankly surprises me that this should be so complicated, but OK. Also, many of the writers argue, like Dr. Heller, that divorce is mostly a problem for poor people, and therefore it doesn't "count." However, my original comments regarding stats still stand, and whatever the overall, true divorce rate is, it is not disproved by specific groups that have much lower rates of divorce.

I don't know, Shrug.  But there are more educators IME that are supportive of one another than what is spoken here.

Ummm...no. Re-read it. I never said I had an INTENTIONAL Ombre, I said after that point it DID get popular. Unless you go every 3 weeks for touch ups, NO ONE goes without roots when dying their hair.

"I said after that point it DID get popular. "

Ombre got popular later, yes.  Dark or skunk roots did not get popular.

"Unless you go every 3 weeks for touch ups, NO ONE goes without roots when dying their hair"

Technically, we all always have roots. It's how the hair stays attached to one's head.  But, technicalities aside, if one is only covering sparse gray, or only going a shade or two difference from one's original color, the "roots" won't be garish.  It's the black to platinum, or mostly gray to dark brown, etc that gets the "can-i-call-it-ombre-instead" look.
