1. Who was your last celebrity sighting? Who was the biggest celebrity sighting?

2. What's for dinner?

3. How hot is it by you?

While I have a soft spot for Kathy Griffin b/c she does so much to support the LGBT community and I find her stand up hilarious -- my favorite kind of comedians have always been what I call 'smart funny' -- especially those who are politically oriented -- I love Bill Maher, Lewis Black, love Stewart and Colbert, my all time favorite was George Carlin -- I never went in for raunchy comedy or the popular 'blue collar guys' like Ron White (who repeatedly sells out our theater whne he's here and who I find spectacularly UN funny).. My friend Bob was the first openly gay comedian on Jay Leno-- very funny guy -- but even he is a bit too raunchy for my tastes. I also love love John Pinette b/c I identify with his fat jokes humor and I think Jim Gaffigan is hysterical b/c he's so very very strange

Jim Gaffigan is loved in my family. In part because he was so sweet to DD3. She went to see him when she was in college, afterwards he was talking to her and her friends, He asked if they were in college and they said yes. He thanked them for spending their limited funds to see him.

LOL! Thanks for the tip. Back to practicing the sport of Extreme Lurking.

<<So which comedians DO you enjoy?>>

As I have said before in this thread, I like subtle comedy, play on words and dry humor versus making fun of people type humor. I haven't seen an individual comedian in years, we used to do them in our 20's. I do enjoy comedy like Wallace and Gromit, Monty Python and the funniest play I saw in London was the complete works of Shakespeare in 90 minutes.

I also enjoy the comedy that is often performed on this ivillage board, although so many of the double standards are not subtle.
