When the kids were young seeing a movie alone was rare. Lately it has been like that again. The last movie we saw we saw alone but the 3 previous have been with one or more of the DDS and boyfriends.

Ummm? Okay. My kids and dh want to see a movie. They've all read the books, and are excited to see how the final movie is. I'm not sure what the big deal is.

Dh and I rarely see movies together in the theater. We just like different types of movies, and I can't justify the cost of a move ticket to go see something that I have no interest in, lol. Our local theater has a great deal on matinee movies during the summer. So, dh will the the kids to see those. And now, my older kids have their own money, they will see an occassional *must see*.

The kids and dh like action, which I admit is better on teh big screen. Dramas and romantic comedies are just fine on the teli, lo.

DH and I also have very different taste in movies, but there are some we are both interested in and others that fall into the ok range so will see together to spend the time together. But anything in the "hate" range for either of us we do not see together. DH usually sees those movies with the girls or co-workers, I on TV or netflix.

Same here. The books are better, but we love the movies too. DD1 is seeing it on Friday. I"ll enjoy it more in a couple of weeks when the mad rush is over.

We didn't see many movies when we were dating and when we did it was usually in a group but when we were married before the kids came we did dinner and a movie almost every week. Or at least until winter hit and we did not want to deal with the weather (we lived in North Dakota).
