Any exciting plans for the day?

Do you garden? What are your favorite plants?

Would you rather entertain at home or go out with friends?

On Wednesdays we wear pink.

Peonies are another favorite of mine. I just planted two more...I love, love, love them for cut flowers.

On Wednesdays we wear pink.

The girl has a four hour dance rehearsal so while she's there the lady and I are heading to the seacoast for a reception for former staff and board of the states Humanities council where I worked for 7 years

Do you garden? What are your favorite plants? I buy plants in planters each year and put them on my front steps of my condo - does that count?

Would you rather entertain at home or go out with friends? oh hells bells ALWAYS go out- I will treat for dinner a million times over if you never make me entertain ... ;-)

Any exciting plans for the day?  We're thinking about going to the pool, and then we're having dinner with DH's grandma.

Do you garden? What are your favorite plants?  I do.  I really like flowers, fuschias and peonies in particular.  And as for vegetables, I love home-grown tomatoes and corn.  And here are the baskets I did for the back porch this year:

Would you rather entertain at home or go out with friends?

Usually go out with friends.

1.  I have a *working lunch* after church, then I plan on taking a nap (maybe even in the sun).  Dh will cook dinner this eve.

2.  I would like to, like to garden....but at this point, not so much.

3.  Dh is a wonderful host, and I enjoy having people over, but I would rather go out.

I love peonies. Partially because I love the massive flower, and partially because they were my great-grandmother's favorite and she had this weird way of pronouncing the word in her thick accent.

My family has always called peonies, "pinies."  I mostly say it the correct way now, but it still sounds funny to my ears not to say pinies.  (Like pine with and eez at the end).

" I have never had people over just to watch TV, tho. Not that I object to such gatherings--I do go to other people's homes for that. But it's not the sort of thing I think of for entertaining."

We have peoploe over for the super bowl... and that's about it.  I don't even let the kids have friends over, then sit in front of the tv.....isn't the idea of having friends over to be interacting with them and building relationship, not sitting infront of the boob tube?

" I don't mind going out once in a while, especially to see live music, but most of the time the loud bar scene exhausts me." I don't care for the bar scene. It's loud and difficult to carry on any sort of real conversation. We often go to dinner, or when the kids were little, other mom's and I would take them to the park, where kids could run and adults could sit and visit.

the only time we go out to a 'bar' is when we go to our favorite gay bars for dancing or singalong nights- usually it's dinner or just a drink at a wine bar...

Any exciting plans for the day? -- Yes! I fly to Austin this afternoon for a quick work trip. Will be meeting two colleagues that I adore (both men! GASP!) and one that I"ve only met once or twice.  Our regional conference (which, as Vice Chair, I'm in charge of) is in Austin next April, so we're doing a site visit at the hotel.  One of the guys I'm meeting is "local", so he has picked out a great local restaurant for us to have dinner at.

Do you garden? What are your favorite plants? -- Kinda.  I'm not doing a garden this year - last year's drought and extreme heat resulted in basically no harvest ... after a lot of hard work.  So I got real demotivated when it comes to the garden.  So, this year I'm concentrating on the front  yard.   While I like the look of a lot of bright flowers, I don't like the work. So I do only perennials.  My beds in the front contain irises, hostas, sedums, and a few lillies.  They are all things we can run down with the mower in September and they come back beautifully in April.

Would you rather entertain at home or go out with friends? -- I don't know if I have a preference.  I truly enjoy doing both pretty equally.

Any exciting plans for the day?

Not really. Did food shopping, have a load of laundry in and maybe go do some summer clothes shopping.

Do you garden? What are your favorite plants?

No, just plant flowers. I planted petunia's and begonias this year.

Would you rather entertain at home or go out with friends?

I enjoy both
