1. What's for dinner?

2. When invited to BBQ's in the summer, what signature dish do you usually bring?

3. Where did your parents meet?

I've never tried to lose weight. Never had to. And I still won't eat just anything...

On Wednesdays we wear pink.

Ahh, but it's a lifestyle change for me.  That's the way I eat/act as a norm now .. not just when I"m trying to seriously lose weight.

Your signature dish is the opposite of "moderation" dear. And I'm sure you know what gluttony is............. Yep it is and it is not something you eat on a daily basis.

Bord...so if a friend invites you to a BBQ or party or get together and you are expected (which I feel anyone going to someones home who is feeding me and giving me drinks should not come empty handed) to bring something, you don't go? I can't imagine missing out on the fun I have with friends if it is a potluck or just bringing a dessert.

Not upset. Just pointing out the inaccuracy of your assumption.

We've been through this before, over and over, Spring. It is the custom in your area to bring food. It is NOT the custom in my social circle. If we invite people to our home, we feed them. They may choose to bring a small hostess gift: wine, chocolates, flowers, something like that. Or, they may not. The "payback" is that we will probably be invited to their home to eat within a few months, where they will feed their guests. Potlucks are usually restricted to college kids or church groups, things like that. Very close friends throwing a party may ask due help, as in, "I hate to bake, so I was hoping you'd make one of your cakes for dessert? If you don't have time, that's okay, I'll go to the bakery." We have a fulfilling social life. It just doesn't ordinarily involve potlucks.

That's pretty much what life is like for us too.  I pretty much always bring wine.. but sometimes we bring just ourselves and the same on the rare occassions we have guests (we don't entertain a ton) .. if someone asks for something specific I bring it, otherwise I bring wine or some flowers for the hostess... we get alot of invitations so I don't think anyone has shunned us for it :-)

It is absolutely a lifestyle change. I really would like to get back into the 130's but know it is not just the number. It is more toning up for me.
