In another thread was curious about the length of marriage and how simple the wedding was.
I told her that in the people that I know I have seen no connections at all.
Thought we would do a little survey here.
How fancy/large was your wedding and the length of your marriage?

Mine would be in the small very simple category.
The only family members that were able to attend were DH's dad and step-mother. We had about 12 other guests. The reception after was in the local Bonanza steak house.
Been married 27+ years.
ours wasn't big as in company size but it was fancy.
My parents had an extremely simple town hall wedding with the reception in my grandmother's tiny livingroom. They celebrated their 30th anniversary last year.
that's wonderful.
I can't think of any connections here either.
It would be hard to find a wedding smaller than mine.
My parents were pretty lucky.
We got married by a justice of the peace in June and then our parents threw us an all-out reception in November. There were about 90 guests, a DJ, and catering. So I'd say a moderate-size wedding. It was very nice and formal, but not ostentatious.
We got married in June of 2005, so we've been married almost 4 years.
