Have you noticed if Bring Your Child to Work Day is increasing or declining? Or that one region or type of business observes this more than another?

My kids would love to go to work with dh, and dh would love to take them, for a couple of hours.

My child experiences "take your child to work day" about half the year. The other half, he is in school. There is not much difference between what I do at work and what I do at home. But then, I work at home half the time anyway. Going to work with dh is another matter. There Dylan goes on the "fun" days--Circus Day, Holloween party, Special Olympics, etc.

Dh's company is similar, only workers are allowed into the manufacturing facilities, government regulations.

I can not get on the property where my husband works. If I need to call him I can only page him (which he answers quickly). They only have internal lines but can phone out - everything is monitored. No cells or PDA's allowd. I think they do have a bring your child to work day but it is tightly controlled and basically they sit in a theater where someone gives them a speach on different kind of things they do. I have been to my dh office once during a family day they hold once a year.

I work in a Psychiatric institution and would never bring my kids to work there. Pts' can be unpredictable and sometimes dangerous if you don't know what you are doing.
