1. Were you involved in sports/activities in school? Was your SO? -- I was a cheerleader (seven years! 6ht grade through graduation), was in band through my sophomore year, and was on the speech/debate team.  DH wasn't really in any activities.  He was a loner geek.

2. What is the last thing your SO did for you that surprised you? -- I dont' remember for sure, but my brain is telling me that I'd mentioned I'd need to do "X" (some chore), but was busy running errands, etc. Came home and he'd done "X".

3. Do you like your name and do you know why you were named that? -- Yes, I like it.   I apparently was supposed to be a "Maria", but when I came out, my mom took one look and me and said "No, she's a Hollie."   My mom's weird like that, lol.

1. Were you involved in sports/activities in school? Was your SO?

Me-Scouts, Clubs, Cheerleading---Dh-Sports, baseball, football, wrestling....

2. What is the last thing your SO did for you that surprised you?

This is hard because my hubby is really good about doing and getting me little things all the time since we have met. Maybe my Valentine's Day flowers as while I do get them every year, he was really serious this year about not doing anything and then got me a dozen roses and a big box of chocolate. Not good for me as I really thought we were not exchanging so there I am, in CVS, on Valentine's Day getting the biggest box of chocolate I could find. lol

3. Do you like your name and do you know why you were named that?

I never did until I got older and never had to use my last name and liked the uniqueness of it. I was named after a little girl my mom used to babysit.

1. Were you involved in sports/activities in school? Was your SO?  Yes, I lettered in theater, among other activities.  DH was senior class president, among other things.

2. What is the last thing your SO did for you that surprised you?  He volunteered to take the kids to their activities after I had agreed to do it, because I had a ton of stuff to do before I left to go to a conference.

3. Do you like your name and do you know why you were named that?  My name was going to be Rachel, but a neighbor had a daughter and named her Rachel a few months before I was born.  My parents (esp. my mom) just liked my name, as far as I know.  I like my name well enough, but I wish it weren't so common.  In high school, I had a history class of about 25 students where three of us had the same first name and a fourth girl was named a common nickname for my name.  It was kind of crazy.

I was on the swim team, I danced and I played soccer for a couple of years too.  I was also involved in yearbook and the ecology club.  DH was in track and 4H, He was an avid horseback rider and that's where DD1's talents come from.

I really don't know, When he gets me a card he finds the most heartfelt ones that touch my heart.

I like my name but the pronunciation gets butchered up a lot and that drives me crazy, Lol!  My mother and I share the same names.

1.  Gymnastics, German club, the Pom-pom squad, student government (I was freshman class secretary).  That was in Germany.  Once I got back to the states, mainly it was JA.  I never had the same connection to the IL high school (although I had good friends and lots of fun when we girls hit the town in the Red Gremlin) as I did to my high school in Germany.  Even today, I remain friends with dozens of the folks I went to school with in Germany.  There's only one guy from IL that I'm still friends with and he and I couldn't stand each other in high school--he was good friends with my brother back then.

2. Married somebody else.  :D

3.  I like my name pretty well.  Well, my first name.  My middle name is okay, but combined with my first, I really don't like it at all.  And I contend even today that THIS is what happens when your mother lets your 5 and 4 year old sisters name you.  Could be worse, tho; I could have been born in the past 20 years.  God only knows what my 5 and 4 year old siblings would have come up with then.

I played basketball in junior high til I gave it up to dance. My wife did track and then in later life she played softball -- horribly

2. What is the last thing your SO did for you that surprised you?

She surprises me every single day with her wit.   It's one of the things I love most about her. but the last BIG HUGE suprise was when she got me tickets to my favorite show ever and kept it a total secret which she's pretty incapable of doign

3. Do you like your name and do you know why you were named that?

I was named after my mom and my great grandmother.. i like my name but my parents called me by my middle name which to this day is confusing .. so I use my first name as an initial only.
